A responsible tourism initiative

Our Mission and Vision
Connecting Communities
The Kardhar Project is a transformative ecotourism blog that aims to bridge the gap between local communities and travelers through sustainable and immersive travel experiences. We specialize in a variety of community-run activities such as MTB, Cycling, Hiking, Praga Gliding, Trekking, Fly Fishing, and hospitality. Nestled in the serene village of Kardhar, at the foothills of the Duladhar wildlife sanctuary in the Indian Himalaya, our base is a charming cottage constructed using traditional architectural techniques from Himachal Pradesh. Crafted from sustainable materials like mud, stone, wood, and slates, the cottage is enveloped by lush Himalayan pines offering breathtaking views of the majestic Dauladhar mountains, the Chotta Bhangal valley, and the UHL river. Our culinary delights are a fusion of locally sourced and foraged ingredients, curated by Chef Gaurish, with the support of Ganesh Thakur, Bhavna Thakur, and Ashish Sood, presenting the authentic flavors of the Kangra region in a truly unique way.
